Game Design

These are the projects I've participated in as a game or level designer.

Reign Supreme (Analogue Game)

This project was made for a school semi-final. Play-testing turned out to be a huge success. I am posting part of the rule-set to show my capabilities as a rulebook writer.

Reign Supreme (Partial Rulebook)

Scout's Horizon

In my Level Design class, two others and I finished our final project. A completed, designed level for a theoretical game. We put together a new concept for a game I had been conjuring for a while, called Scout's Horizon.

The final result was a project that blew the other projects out of the water: The level (sans-coding) was set in Unreal Engine with a fully-explorable map, completed asset list, in-game music, all ready prototyped to be inserted into a major production. The project earned us extra credit due both to our excellent work and superb presentation.

Since then, I have began expanding on this project. I am building a design document that may very well be the first Platform/Stealth-Survival/Brawler game. It is in the works.

Say We All Games

I was given the opportunity to intern for Say We All Games. I headed a small team that created several Flash games from scratch. This gave me the skills and knowledge to lead teams and create games.

C++ Programming

I have finished my C++ coding class With an A+(+). I was lucky to have found such a great team. I did the design and flowcharting, as well as some of the hard coding. The result was the best project in the class, done well before the due date. It gave me enough experience to work with programmers on my game design documents.

ERIAL Rule-system

The ERIAL LARP combat rule-system, which I designed and wrote, is still in use by fighter practices around southern California to this day. Occasionally, I have people e-mail me telling me of modifications and events using the rulebook as a basis.
